Life in the City

Chapter 34: Visiting Family

It is Sunday morning.
The sun is bright.
I feel happy.

I go to my uncle’s house.
He lives near the park.
I carry a small bag.

At the door, my aunt opens.
She smiles, “Hello! Come in!”
I say, “Good morning!”
My cousin runs to me.
He is a baby, very small and cute.
I hold him carefully.

Inside, my brother is reading a book.
My sister is drawing pictures.
They look at me and wave.

We sit at the table.
My uncle brings juice and sandwiches.
We talk about school, friends, and the city.

I ask my neighbor, who is visiting too, “Do you like our family?”
She laughs, “Yes! Your family is very nice.”

After lunch, we go to the park.
I hold my baby cousin’s hand.
My brother and sister play football.
My uncle walks slowly.
My aunt watches us and smiles.

I feel happy.
I think, Family is important.
Brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and neighbors make life fun.

At the end of the day,
I say goodbye.
I feel tired but very happy.
I think, I like my family.
I like visiting them.
