Life in the City
Chapter 37: Traveling in the City
It is Sunday morning.
The sun is bright.
I feel excited.
I meet her at the bus stop.
We want to go to the library in the city center.
First, we take a taxi.
The driver asks, “Where do you want to go?”
I say, “The library, please.”
We sit in the back seat.
The car moves slowly.
We see many traffic lights and street signs.
After the taxi, we take a train.
The train is fast.
I look out of the window.
I see buildings, parks, and shops.
At the station, we ask a neighbor, “Which way to the library?”
He says, “Go straight, then turn left. It is next to the museum.”
We walk carefully.
We pass a post office, a cinema, and a restaurant.
Finally, we arrive at the library.
I feel proud.
I think, Traveling in the city is fun.
I learn many places and streets.
We read books and rest.
Then we go home by tram.
I smile and say, “I like our city.”
