Chapter 40: A Sick Day

It is Monday morning.
The sun is bright.
I feel tired and cold.
My head hurts.
My stomach feels strange.

I call her.
She comes quickly.
She says, “You look sick. Let’s check your temperature.”
I lie on the bed.
She takes a pillow and a blanket.

We go to the doctor.
The nurse helps us.
The doctor asks, “Where does it hurt?”
I say, “My head and stomach hurt. I cough and sneeze.”
The doctor gives me a pill and some cream.
He says, “Rest at home. Drink water and milk. Don’t eat cold food.”

At home, she gives me a bandage for my finger.
I feel better after resting.
She smiles and says, “Take care of yourself.”
I think, Health is important.
Body parts, medicine, and care help us feel good.
